A travers ce projet, Mark Priore et son trio partagent une merveilleuse déclaration d’amour à la tradition de la formation en trio avec piano et à des artistes qui les ont fascinés et inspirés.
Inspiré par le style baroque d’Haendel, le trio rend hommage, dans chacun de ses morceaux, à un compositeur ou interprète : de Monk à Brubeck, d’Alice Coltrane à Oscar Peterson en passant par Tom Jobim, Ahmad Jamal ou McCoy Tyner.
A travers des compositions originales (à l’exception de la pièce de Monk en piano solo) pensées comme autant de dédicaces ou de clins d’oeil à des moments d’anthologie, Mark Priore mêle hommage, inspiration, histoire, à son style et à une interprétation en trio résolument moderne emmenée par la complicité et l’alchimie des trois musiciens.
Through this project, Mark Priore and his trio share a wonderful love letter to the piano trios tradition and to the artists who have fascinated and inspired them.

Inspired by Handel's baroque style, the trio pays tribute in each of its pieces to a composer or performer: from Monk to Brubeck, Alice Coltrane to Oscar Peterson, Tom Jobim, Ahmad Jamal, and McCoy Tyner.

Through original compositions (with the exception of Monk's solo piano piece) conceived as dedications or nods to anthological moments, Mark Priore blends homage, inspiration, and history with his style and a resolutely modern trio interpretation driven by the complicity and alchemy of the three musicians.
